Money Order Serial Number Located

I just confirmed with USPS that my money orders were cashed! If you didn't pay the $6 fee, you can still do so at the same post office you bought them. The USPS wants and needs that money to operate, but hey, you might need it to operate too! If you can support them, great, but if you need your $6, you can still check your status for FREE by reverse engineering the system! You can check by calling 1-866-459-7822. From there you will be prompted to enter the 11 digit number of your money order, the dollar amount, and the 6 digit post office code.

All of these numbers are on the receipt that you hopefully kept (the smaller part you were left with after you tore off and mailed in the larger part). After you have done this, the automated fellow will tell you that the number you have entered either 'Matches' or 'Does Not Match' their records. If it says that it 'matches' that means that the money order you are asking about WAS NOT CASHED, and if it says 'Does Not Match', that means WAS CASHED! Again, 'matches' = NOT CASHED, and 'does not match' = CASHED. If you sent multiple MOs then check them all to see your status. If you enter more than 5 sets of numbers, it will forward you to a human.

The human I was forwarded to asked if I was calling to check on Grateful Dead tickets! That human may confirm it (if you are lucky), but will most likely urge you to go back to the same post office and pay $6 per money order to find out.If you are having trouble finding your numbers on the receipt, you can look at this pic as an example: In the example the 11 digit number is: 5 and the 6 digit post office number is: 060190. Just replace these numbers with the ones on your receipt. For those keeping up at home and wanting to know what my personal situation is. I mailed my request in a decorated envelope on 1/20, following instructions to the letter.

I sent six MOs (Three for $95.50, three for $20, and the request for one GA/Taper/Any ticket for all three nights. All of my $95.50 MOs were cashed, and none of my $20 MOs were. Here is what my envelope looked like: Also it was stuffed with confetti. I'm not sure if that helped or not;) I hope this helps! S 'not matched' Talked to a live human afterwards.

He asked me if I happened to have several series of money orders, which indicated to me that he was aware that it was for Dead tix. He then told me that 'I'm not supposed to do this, but if you give me the #'s of one m.o. From each series I'll check them.' I gave him my #'s from the $95.50 m.o.' S and he said, 'Looks like you're one of the lucky ones, they've all been cashed. He also told me that the 'matched' 'not matched' wasn't indicative, but as I said I got the 'not matched' response and the ones I confirmed have been cashed.

He then said he had to hang up because there were a lot of Deadheads waiting.
